DECEMBER

Well, December was a very busy month. No suprise there. We started it off making a gingerbread house which we've never done before. The girls loved it of course. I think half the candy made it in their mouths and the other half on the house.

Then, we had my family Christmas party at my parents. A very yummy dinner with lots of food and dessert. We had a small nativity which is always very cute. Maybe by next year we'll have a full cast. I think Kylie was a Wiseman/Sheperd this year (came bearing a penguin gift?) and Brooke got to be Mary (with a cabbage patch kid wearing a heart shirt as the baby).

We were suprised to have a special visitor show up. Kylie and Henry were the first two sprinting for the door. As soon as it opened they bolted in the other direction, SCREAMING. Both looked like they'd seen a ghost. Wasn't quick enough for a picture on that one. Here's one just minutes later, still trying to calm her down. Henry never came out of the office til Santa left.
Brooke was so excited to ramble her list of things she wanted.
Kylie finally decided he wasn't too bad after all. He did bring some little red stockings, each with their names on them and candy inside (thanks to a very creative grandma). He knew all their names and which brothers and sisters belonged to who. They thought that was cool.

We took the girls to a town festival. There were bounce houses, rides, vendors, food, etc. I think we waited in line for each ride for atleast 25 mins and the ride only lasts a minute. They had fun though and didn't want to leave.
The petting zoo was their favorite part.

We headed up to Snowflake for Brent's family Christmas party and then back up a week later for Christmas Day. Our nativity up there is complete with many sheperds, wisemen, and angels.

This was on the drive to Show Low to see a movie the day after Christmas.
The girls got an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas. Here they are decorating their first cakes.

Thank you Santa for our very fun scooters. Brooke told me she wanted a scooter and that it's okay to have a bike AND a scooter.
When we got out of the movie in Show Low, Brent shoveled some snow in the back of the truck so when we got back to Snowflake, we could build a snowman. It never really snows much in Snowflake. The girls couldn't wait to make their very own FROSTY.



Rocky was getting too big for his little kennel he slept in so we decided it was time for a dog house. The girls had fun painting scenery on the inside walls for Rocky to see. My job was the outside.

Brent did a great job. Rocky can even walk in and out without hitting his head and maybe even choose which corner to sleep in each night.
